sacrelyne @terrilz thank you for explaining where you come from with this comment. Do you agree with me that the prices spiked in a very short time? I live the story of the brand starting around a kitchen table and all. And Tory herself is a classy woman. But I understand the manufacturing takes place in China? Also to be specific the tote fabric bag she is carrying in way expensive for Tory Burch. Dior can sell plain T-Shirt with slogan for a fortune, but I think here, fir TB it’s too aspirational. I will certainly be proven wrong for the market, I’m sure she didn’t just wake up one morning and say we need to raise the price. I read somewhere an article about her husband (before they were together) advising her to raise the brand positioning. And who am I to contest the professionals ? It’s just my opinion ?

terrilz @sacrelyne I opened her third store and I’m very familiar with the brand, Tory herself and the quality of the fabrics. I’ve been in luxury retail for over 20 years. This is a bridge brand and it fits into that price point. It’s a bargain at the quality and what goes into it. I know from working with Giorgio Armani, Guy Laroche, Valentino and several other designers the hours that can go into just one single garment. I’ve seen her brand evolve from the beginning from behind the scenes to the success it is today worldwide and still today it is well@prices for the quality, the fabrics and everything the that the brand represents.

sacrelyne @terrilz I know the products. They have a good quality but not deserving this price. As you know the price is justified by a brand positioning. And these prices are far too high for this brand. Plus, they moved many percentile up just like that, to give it more exclusivity !!! With the same design, quality, products and story.., this is a sure way to loose the brand’s integrity!
