Since we did a food allergy test and learned I've got some allergies (milk, rice, turkey, peas, corn, barley) mom switched me to new food and matching treats, and I need to go 8-12 weeks eating nothing else to get any previous stuff out of me and see how I do on the new food. I started this many weeks back, but about 2 weeks into it we were out on a walk and a lady gave me a couple treats (yay me!) so fast before mom even saw it happening. Because of this we had to start the clock all over again! 🙄
You know us pups loovvee getting treats, but you never know if a pup has allergies and if you could harm them or cause them discomfort by giving them a treat. Always ask their human before giving any pup any treats! 🐶

robbyteee My mother’s dog is the same way. My mother always carries treats in her pocket or purse when they are out in public and if someone asks if she can have a treat - she hands them one from her stash. It’s worked pretty well. But I like the idea of the harness labels. Thanks for sharing!!! ❤️

tajdhillonsingh Have you tried eating raw? I know it’s not for everyone but it’s done wonders for friends of mine who have dogs with allergies. Dogs shouldn’t be eating rice and corn anyways because their bodies can’t digest it.

cooperandmaya Wow! Do people just give treats to the doggies without asking their humans?!? That’s so crazy🙁🙁 my cocker has an allergy too so we are careful about what he eats. The collar is a great idea! 💛💛💛😘

jesterbeak Would you walk up to someone’s child and just start feeding them? I think not. So why would someone presume it’s ok to do that to a dog? Especially when sweet pups will eat just about anything! 😞
