The Waorani people, an indigenous group in Ecuador, won a major historic victory in court, late April, to protect their ancestral lands from oil drilling. This victory could be a key to saving the Amazon.

But the government appealed the ruling, & this victory could be snatched away July 1st. With millions of barrels of untapped oil reserves at play, the executive branch of Ecuador’s government is exerting enormous pressure on the judges to rule against the Waorani. We cannot let this happen. The Waorani rainforests are too important for their survival, and for our climate. Stand with the Amazon.
