When starting a renovation, it’s important to engage not only the architects and builders who know how to physically create the space but also an interior designer who will take all the details about your taste and lifestyle to find solutions that will maximize the space’s potential. First up, this kitchen designed by @stefansteil and architects @knightarchitects in Skillman, New Jersey. It was originally two separate spaces: a ground floor kitchen with a gym on the second floor. The upstairs space was demolished, turning the kitchen into one dramatic room with double-height ceilings. Historic molding details were researched and planned by the designer and the contractor custom milled many of them. Great detail was also paid to the paint finishes: the designer requested oil paint with a hand brushed finish.
