Damon Heath has still not paid the crew for this shoot. I was 1st assistant and Digital operator, doing the work of at least 2 people. I worked very hard to keep what was a very poorly produced shoot together. I worked long hours in a difficult environment. I compromised my travel rate to help with his budget. Damon promised he would pay me within 30 days. This was particularly necessary as this was one of my first jobs back to work after spinal surgery and I severely needed the income. 5/6 months later and I still have not been paid. Damon has continually evaded my calls, given me false promises or flat out lied to me. He has not honoured his word on many occasions and even threatened to sue me for making this information public. I am having to pursue legal action to attempt to recoup what I am owed at my own cost. He has tried to defend said legal action by claiming my work was not up to standard, an utterly untrue statement which serves as another slap in the face to a hard working industry professional. He continues to work by leaning on assistants such as myself who he does not pay.
