Happy Olympic Day! 🔥

Becoming an Olympian didn’t *change* me. It was the absolute highest honour to represent our country at the ultimate event. But to me, having the motivation for excellence, promoting health and well-being, and having a gracious and tolerant world view is what it means to be Olympic. The fire that burns within was there long before I ever walked in an Opening Ceremony. The competition is just the cherry on top.

For me it's a kind of work ethic and commitment: work hard, to achieve something. Like you really need to put a lot in it to reach your goal. Also friendly competition where everyone strives for excellence and it's about fair play, being humble and showing good sportsmanship. And ultimately it's about connecting with people from the whole world.

I think my resilience and perseverance in my studies and pushing through the hard times to achieve my final goal of a law degree after I’m done my undergrad is what makes me an ‘Olympian’. Spreading positivity and inclusiveness is what I strive to do on a daily basis while approaching everyday as a new day, always with an open mind. ?

going back to dance after being broken down by my previous coach and her daughter, it was so hard but getting back up there, getting my confidence back and doing what i do best is making me so happy. and the best part about it is still winning medals without her, while she’s watching - i’ve got this!! ❤️??

OMG. Thank you so much for inspiration to be better. Sometimes I lack willpower and motivation to really improve my life and then I think about people like you, who work hard for their accomplishments and really achieve them, and it inspires me to do my best...

I've been a sport instructor to 2-6 years old for the past 10 years and it's one of my goal to make them love sport as much as possible and to accept that everyone deserve a chance in the sport they choose. ?
