At the heart of Ralph Lauren's Milanese palazzo is a room designed in the timeless pastiche of an English country estate.
.
Among the antiques—mixed with @RalphLaurenHome furnishings and textiles—are an eighteenth-century chandelier and telescope, a Regency mahogany desk, intricate Persian rugs, and 20th-century English replicas of antique blue-and-white ceramic Ming vases. The fireplace was relocated from a different room within the palazzo to be flanked here by lacquered white bookcases and crowned with a mirror.
.
In highlighting the distinct character of the building, such as French doors that open from the main room onto a stone courtyard with a double arcade of arches, Ralph Lauren’s in-house design team meticulously studied the original plans and then set about reimagining each space in the modern context of a private club.
