Introverts don’t have to be timid or shy. You know you’re an introvert if: climbing El Cap in a day is less tiring than spending a day talking to strangers. If you’d rather do the dishes at a dinner party so you don’t have to talk to anyone anymore. If you you’d rather text than call. If you’re totally proud of yourself for spending 3 months travelling around the world with other people, with no time to yourself and you didn’t kill anyone or lose any friends. Here’s a mini carousel of those friends who’ve had to endure too much of my company over the last few months. If you didn’t make the cut I’m sorry but (although hard to believe) there were those that were worse off than you! When you put headphones on that aren’t connected to anything. When you aren’t really tired but go to bed to escape. When you actively seek the jobs that no one wants to do because you get left alone. When going for a short workout is two hours.
Skipping dinner plans because you feel “sick” when you’re actually just sick of people and humanity.
When you connect better with characters in a book.

We introverts can be social, friendly and connected to other people - we just need some time and space afterwards to recharge. Never thought about the text vs phone call before but you’re absolutely right! Enjoy the space to ground yourself again before the next fun trip 🙌

Being introverted is hard ae. Introvertion (if that's not a word, it is now) is quite often mistaken for shyness etc. Introverts usually the ones being judged for being so too xD
