You deserve a weekend.
It doesn’t need to be a whole 2 day weekend of doing nothing BUT you deserve the chance to recharge and look forward to time dedicated to nourishing your soul.
Running our own business, Adam and I went through a time of manic workload that eventually took away our ‘weekends’. We literally were working every day and lost the excitement of looking forward to a day off (or even a couple of hours off).
It got to the point we’re we were worn out. We love our work, it’s always been a passion for us. But now we have realised how important it is to dedicate time each week for ‘us’.
You NEED time away from your hustle, your ‘job’, your obsession. Just so you can simply re-charge, and maybe even ‘zone out’ with an activity that brings you nothing but pure joy (I’m actually learning the guitar at the moment! I’m terrible, but I really enjoy learning and completely switching off from everything else that is going on in my life! ☺️🎸)
SO. Take time for you. Even if it’s just an hour or so.
Zone out. Focus in.

aleasia_and_nina_get_fit This really resonates with me ? it’s so true and so easily forgotten!! Something I am learning too!! slow down, recover, stretch, enjoy, take all the pressures of life away, sleep in, switch off... be present in the moment ?? I have absolutely loved starting my yoga journey too as this has taught me this.. I’m so glad you and @adam.m.dunne have time for your beautiful selves, and time to enjoy and switch off ????! @amandabisk I am also learning the guitar ? it is hard and my fingers are sooo sore!!! I have a steel string guitar and ouch!!! But I do 10 mins a day and am just learning my basic cords and to speed up my cord changes so hopefully it will get easier soon.. ( but I do play when no ones around so they can’t hear me at this stage ??) @datavizkiwi yes me to saved the workout so cant wait to catch up and give it a go ?

kikiv10 Happy weekend!! Thank you for working so hard for all of us. Your app is the first program I’ve ever been able to stick with. Your (and Adam’s) dedication to your craft does not go unnoticed!! I literally say out loud, “Thanks, Amanda!”, after every workout. Enjoy your weekend!!!

sportsfitnessmd So agree. You HAVE to be able to turn off your work mode to be a sane, happy human being. Super hard when you’re feeling the pressures of running your own business...but the whole point of being your own boss is being to turn it off when you need to!
