My first #Mentor @the_robertevans If I was going to give advice to my future unborn child wanting to be in the movie business I would say what I believe was most important would be to: 1. Find a mentor. Preferably someone who is doing what you ultimately want to do so you can learn from his failures and duplicate his successes. 2. Don’t pick his Brain, EAT IT!!! 3. Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Set goals for yourself and don’t quit until you reach them. If you compare yourself to someone else you will never be happy! 4. Never quit. If you quit you will never know if you would of made it. I have wanted to quit many times when I was @nyutisch because there were kids so much more talented than I was or who was the son or daughter of someone in the business and I personally knew no one in the business and felt like the other kids were so far ahead of me. I recognized that I wasn’t as talented as some but somehow realized if I worked harder I could be as good as them. Someone with 90 percent talent and 10 percent effort will be not be as successful as someone with 10 percent talent and 90 percent effort. 5. Never be afraid to fail. I was blessed to feel that if my dreams didn’t come true my mom and my grandparents were still going to love me no matter what. I know this is hard because not everyone grew up with a lot of love. So learn to love yourself. 6. Follow your dreams. Do what you love. What you are passionate about. Not what makes your parents happy or impresses your friends. If you love what you do you will be successful. Don’t measure your success by what other people think. 7. Be relentless and Pathologically Enthusiastic. Enthusiasm is contagious. No one can deny true passion for what you love. 8. Always consider nothing impossible. Try and not hold yourself back. Work beyond the limits of your abilities and always strive to be better than you have been. 9. It should never be all business. Relationships should be more important than business. Derive your success from relationships with people, not the position you achieve. 10. Believe in Yourself always! #Persevere #WorkHard #NeverQuit #FollowYourDreams #FindAMentor #DontBeAfraidToFail
