I’ll never forget. Maybe it’s become my second birthday 🎂 When I first came here, I was 21, and now I am 32. The time flew by so so so fast!! I never thought that I would have lived in a foreign country for this long all by myself, being away from my family and my Japanese friends. In the morning, I was recalling all the memories over the past 11 years since day 1 when I first landed here, and I felt so emotional 😭 I still remember what I was wearing on that day to meet my host mom at the airport, and it’s crazy that I still have that dress 👗💐🙌🏻 Of course, living in a foreign country, especially starting in my 20s, wasn’t as easy at all (as I expected), but just like any adventure, it contains the best & worst experiences. These experiences have made my adventure in America truly unforgettable 💝✨ Maybe my life would have been easier in Japan, but I would rather have more interesting stories to be read in the Book of My Life than take the easy road. I have experienced so many struggles, so many hardships, so many pitfalls, but I’ve also gained irreplaceable experiences, learned life changing lessons, and made amazing friends & awesome memories that I could never have experienced if I lived in Japan. Could not be any more proud of myself for the toughest decision I ever made to continue to stay here and to keeping hustling to make my dreams come true 💎✨ #dreambig So grateful for all these years, as it has shaped me to become who I am today!! I have such deep deep appreciation to each one of YOU for being so sweet, kind and supportive and for continuing to love me ♥️ And thank you to all my American friends to offer me big help when I needed it for their strong belief in me.
