Many of the world’s richest countries are failing families by not providing enough paid parental leave, a UNICEF report revealed today. While Estonia offers mothers the longest duration of leave at full pay at 85 weeks, the United States is the only country included in the analysis with no national paid leave policy for mothers or fathers. We’re calling on governments to invest more in family-friendly policies - including up to 6 months paid parental leave for both mothers AND fathers.
