Détournement
Unveiling new exhibits at the #GucciGarden in Florence conceived by @alessandro_michele and curated by Maria Luisa Frisa @lafrisa. The first room is called ‘Détournement,’ which means rerouting in French—the term was adapted by the Situationist International movement which described it as ‘a reuse of pre-existing artistic elements in a new ensemble’. The room features a wall by artist @ヒグチユウコ who imagined a mythical creature incorporating many of the House motifs and ready-to-wear pieces with the Gucci logo displayed in diverse forms and fabrics including a dress in GG fabric from 1969 and a leather jacket with embroidered Donald Duck ©Disney appliqué by #AlessandroMichele.
