I’ve read her argument before and I am unsure. We are damned if we do and damned if we don’t in this case. How does one show a clear message to those at the top and the politicians that one can not play with the lives of women and children in such a way without starving them from their favorite income source? I was almost a working actor before I became profoundly disabled. There’s a reason we call it working actors or joke that this is our expensive hobby. It doesn’t pay as much as people believe. So I understand her pleas, I do. At the same time, people will die if we don’t do something. We’re establishing charities to try to help get people out of state for healthcare as it is. If we don’t cancel our vacations to Georgia, stop buying our produce there, and encourage something to happen, what happens to those worse off than us? I want to find a better solution to educate people on why this option needs to remain open but I can’t teach anyone who still puts their fingers in their ears and goes “la la la can’t hear you” past forty while holding elected office. The nuns only taught me so much patience, you know?

As a lesbian woman, there is a part of me that wants to feel sorry for these individuals, but the reality of it is they're feeling the pain of having elected these people, to begin with. The film industry isn't hurting them, they're hurting themselves and they have to pay the consequence. This may seem harsh but we all know our actions have consequences and maybe this is a wake up call for them.

@raphaelsbarge Boycotts always have their drawbacks so its always better to look at all the options before promoting boycotts.
