Excuse us while we stare at this image FOREVER. This is what happens when watercolor paint mixes with ferrofluid (a black liquid containing tiny particles of metal). Artist Fabian Oefner placed a magnet under the ferrofluid, which caused the metallic liquid to form unique patterns. Then he added the watercolors, which repel the ferrofluid like oil repels water.
