ナショナルジオグラフィックさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ナショナルジオグラフィックInstagram)「Photo by William Albert Allard @williamalbertallard | In 1972, I flew my two sons, Scott, 12, and David, 8, out to Montana, where I was photographing and writing an essay to be published in @natgeo in October, 1973, about Padlock Ranch, which straddles southern Montana and northern Wyoming. My boys rode with us almost every day when we were gathering cows and calves, bringing them into the catch pens where the calves would be branded. In the afternoon we'd all nap in our camp tents and at night sit around a campfire while the old hands told stories, some of them actually true. In this image, I have just unsaddled David's buckskin gelding that he'd spent the morning on, and he's giving it a loving gesture, which the horse seems to appreciate. I like the details of this picture, with the sweat marks of the saddle and girth strap still visible on the horse and the brim of David's hat pushed up as he nuzzles his mount.
