Camp Hale was a training site for the U.S. Army in the 1940s, designated for preparing soldiers to survive in the harsh conditions of winter and teaching them alpine and nordic skiing and mountain climbing. These soldiers became part of the the 10th Mountain Divison. It’s an honor to have this piece of our nation’s history just in my backyard, and I feel so grateful to not only the soldiers who trained at Camp Hale but every single soul who has fought for and served this country. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ On a similar note—I am SO excited and thankful for the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream of flying with the @afthunderbirds tomorrow!
