He was serving in Afghanistan and died in action. During her pregnancy, Harris says she received tremendous support from the men and women of the 82 Airborne Division who were deployed with her husband. When she gave birth on March 17, she knew she had to plan something special for her husband’s “army family” to meet her new daughter, Christian. Harris said, “They've been a part of her life before she was even born, and I know they're going to be around for the rest of her life. No matter where the Army takes them all, I will be able to show Christian how they all came together for her."
