Gender is beautiful and can feel like coming home. To share space with those whose embodiment of self reflects back likeness, kinship, and family—it is healing and something I don’t take for granted.
It’s transphobia, racism, and misogyny that feels dangerous, invasive, and violent and is in real ways dangerous, invasive, and violent.
Thank you to the community of queer and trans sex worker elders and peers for holding me in spaces, places, and experiences that brought me closer to myself.
