Karla Donato (@roho7) is one of the most visible creative forces in Mexico City. The 27-year-old nail tech and makeup artist is recognized by her nails, which are like two- to three-inch-long beacons: lacquered in hot reds and fuchsias, dotted with Playboy bunnies, flames, and bedazzled illustrations of the Chanel logo. After spending the majority of her life in California, she returned to her Mexican hometown at age 18 and eventually made the move to Mexico City to pursue her art.
