When you’re modeling outside, you don’t get to see yourself as you’re working it. Even changing in between outfits, there’s no mirror on the sand to see how you look. You have to trust the team’s eye. And oh, that beach is unpredictable. Wind and sun in the eyes, and sand in all kinds of uncomfy places. It ain’t pretty. But the key to getting a great shot is fooling the audience into thinking you’re super comfortable. You have to pretend it’s all so wonderful and natural and easy and cool. But for this shot, I didn’t have to pretend. I felt damn good. I felt insanely strong. I felt beyond powerful.
