A beautiful sandstone wall, long reaches, mega runouts - what's not to love? Today, I got to fulfill a life dream of climbing this masterpiece, and it lived up to my lofty expectations.⁣ ⁣ This is "the move" on Groovy, the intro 13a, arguably more difficult than the upper 14b (just kidding, but seriously). To all you #slaydies out there - I have 5'10" arms (178cm) and there's still some room in that span. Get out there and try this beauty!⁣ ⁣ I'm writing a blog post for @lasportivana about what goes through my head when red pointing, and if you know me at all, you know it's not going to be what you'd expect. Instead, look forward to my 2 redpoint singalongs...they are e-m-b-a-r-r-s-s-i-n-g, yet I am not ashamed. They get me up walls. I also like to pray mid-route, because contrary to popular belief, I think God cares about fun stuff, like climbing midway up a cliff face that could be summited via hiking.⁣ ⁣ Thanks to my husband, @arjandekock, who set aside his own goals to support me in mine. Arjan has also been shooting footage (as well as these photos 📷 ) of Groove Train, so stay tuned for that.
