To all the mums out there, including my own, thank you. Today we celebrate, and every day we honour all that we are and all that we do. I hope every single one of you mamas out there know you are enough. It’s ok to make mistakes and you don’t need to beat yourself up over it. I hope you are celebrated for the warriors of the heart that you are. . To all those who may be alone this Mother’s Day I send you so much love. I hope your heart will remember the beautiful memories and be filled with love and gratitude. . To my mama and a reminder to myself...thank you for your endless love. For feeding me when I was hungry. Patting my head and helping me sleep when I was scared. For hearing me with your heart when it felt like my whole world was falling apart, for soothing my pain when my heart was broken. Thank you for enduring all the sleepless nights, and the hours of stress and worry that never seem to end. Thank you for teaching me how to be a mum. . To my precious children who will always be my babies. Thank you for a love like no other. For teaching me when I thought I was supposed to teach you. . This journey has been a mix of emotions of heart exploding love, terrifying fear that can swallow you whole, and a gnawing guilt that has at times driven me to overwork and burn out. There have been many moments where I’ve felt like a failure. And so many moments of pure joy. Its been 13 years of motherhood for me and no matter how hard it can get, I’m completely filled with gratitude for this experience. There is nothing in my life that has compared to growing and nurturing a baby and raising my beautiful children. The greatest gift of all. .
