As usual during Ramadan, the craving for traditional Malay food peaks.
After seeing @ribboncircus ‘s curry puffs I can’t stop thinking about all those good ones back in Malaysia, back then sold haphazardly by the roadside and the occasional kuih stalls at the morning market or others open in the late afternoon.
The art of making kueh by hand is dying. Unfortunately central kitchen productions and the buttery OCK just cannot hold up to properly filled, full fat deep fried karipaps.
Now all I need is a bigger fridge to keep them frozen for emergencies and then attempt karipap pusing. 😜
