People always ask why I live in Las Vegas - this is part of the reason why. Mountain biking trails 10 minutes from my house with epic views of Red Rock (while still seeing the Strip in the background in the other frame). It’s hard to find that kind of outdoor access anywhere in the country. Where else can I climb a 2k ft route in the morning and still make a flight by noon?! Or go out on secluded feeling desert trails 10 min from a house? Or have maybe 100+ 5.14 routes within an hour and a half drive?
Vegas might be a disgusting city in a lot of ways but it’s an amazing home base for outdoor recreation. Hopefully it’s reputation changes over time. Unlikely, but we’ll see...

Soooo true!!! I had no idea about this side of Las Vegas until I get there and start driving around the city. It’ll be people like you who will Change that reputation!! Beautiful Nevada!!

What disgusting reputation are you talking about? This place is becoming more of a family oriented destination on daily basis. Try going up here 20 years ago. This will always be home.
