Over the next few days we will be posting a behind the scenes look of how Spring Summer 2019 came together. This was our first collection back in New York, after showing two collections during Paris Couture, and we wanted to explore something quite humble, easy, and utterly American. So Denim, in all its incarnations, became the thing we became obsessed with and worked towards injecting this, the most ubiquitous of fabrics, with an element of wash and cut that elevated it to a point where we felt it could stand to live on the runway. The collection also marked the completion of a collaboration between us and the artist Isa Genzken who we have been obsessed with for quite some time. It was a dream come true to be able to work with such an iconic and pioneering woman. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These things, plus a range of other diverse influences, eventually came together to form what you saw on the runway. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
