His first exhibition—Shikisai-no Shikake (“Tricks behind colors”)—displays the collection of his genuine masterpiece created over years. He claims to be inspired by architects, interior décor, sceneries, and furniture that he encounters in his trips to multiple countries. His artwork is unique with the way he adopts colorful abstract patterns on textiles, fabrics, and paintings. . An array of his artwork that appeals his proficiency in incorporating Art Décor with simple fine lines, and his new pieces that evoke the image of Japan containing colors like gold and vermilion with circular and fan patters is unveiled in this exhibition. Shoda speaks about the implication of his roots and identity in his work; “I see things with a Japanese point-of-view and interpret them with my own style. Japanese aesthetic is an essential element embraced in my artwork, and I’m especially emphasizing it now to present my work globally.” . Shoda’s creations—including the collaboration goods with the Denmark based black-and-white monochrome artist Phuc Van Dang @phucisme , cushions and tapestries that were produced in limited numbers―are showcased in this exhibition. Feel the power and effects of colors expressed through the fascinating perspective of Keisuke Shoda. 📸 by Kouichi Imai @imaiz27」4月27日 23時08分 - keisukesyoda
