Last weekend was excruciating for my family... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
On Saturday, we were told Cookie was in critical condition from severe acute pancreatitis. That he could take his last breath at any moment. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
On Sunday, the vet admitted there was a high possibility Cookie wouldn’t have made it 24 hours. But seeing Cookie’s will to live, the slightest movement in his head after taking pain killers (still unable to even intake water), he thought it might be worth putting him through 24 hour treatment at the hospital. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s only been 2 nights since he’s been taken under their care, and there’s no guarantee. Anything could happen. But he’s been making so much progress in his tiny body... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I hope this can be a reminder to anyone reading this, that nothing is forever.
What lives will pass.
Please don’t take anything or anyone for granted.

土曜日に、獣医さんに家族全員集まるように言われ、クッキーが急性膵炎であることを知らされました。危篤状態でいつ何が起きてもおかしくないと…何にも手がつかず1日クッキーの横で過ごしました。 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
日曜日に一縷の望みにかけて入院したクッキー。まだ2晩しか経ってないけど少しずつ力が戻ってきています。
本当に強い子だね、クッキー。 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
