A lot of the architectural purists wouldn’t rank this course as one of their favourites - it lacks width and the greens are relatively flat, but for me I love it because it evokes thought, shot making, precision and doesn’t favour one particular style of player. While our game is generally dominated by bombers, this course is an equalizer, it just favours good golf, and can be played in so many different ways. I make sure to know where the hole location is before teeing off above all the other courses I play throughout the year. . All of the Par 3’s play under 200 yards and basically scare the crap out of you, & while the 18th fairway is possibly the widest fairway we play all year, I saw 2 pros hit it out of bounds last week - it just gets in your head - Pete Dye style! .
