Sad day today for the West Coast Choppers/JJFU Family. Our cleaning/maintenance guy Carlos was killed this morning in a head on collision on hwy 290 in Austin. This really breaks my heart. Carlos or “Bucky” (his nickname)was such a sweet kid and would help anyone and everyone with whatever they needed. He was only 20 years old, and loved being part of the shop. His Mustang was covered with West Coast Choppers stickers. His mom also works for WCC/JJFU. She came to the US in 1998 as a refugee from Hurricane Mitch, and is a single mom to Carlos and two sisters. Carlos was born here and was a citizen. We have such a small tight family here at the shop. We are all devastated. My heart goes out to Carlos’ mom Carman and his two sisters. I want to leave this bible verse here for them with hopes people will pray for them...... Matthew 5:4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted”. The Lord will wrap His arms of love and comfort around those who trust in Him. #jessejames

leftbrainknows So much of our identity is what we do- I am sure he was proud to be part of such a prestigious shop. Imagine the future this kid would have had- sad but also reminds us to live for today because tomorrow is not guaranteed.

icweld Oh man, sorry to hear that. I actually heard about the accident yesterday by a buddy who works in the emergency responders field out of dripping.
