These are what demos were like almost 30 years ago. Skateboarding has changed so much, it’s come so far and yet it hasn’t. Listen to how excited those skaters are watching Mark Gonzales. Certainly a far cry from the kinds of things skaters say to other skaters on social media today. This is often referred to as the beginning of the renaissance of skateboarding. It was so small then. The 80s were huge. The 90s were parking lot demos with moveable jump ramps left over from the 80s. It was a time of innovation and resilience. In skateboarding.... things come and go, peaks and valleys but the one thing that will never change is Mark Gonzales and that beautiful style.
