I took painting classes at Harlem School of the Arts as a child and when I was six I won a citywide art contest and my painting hung in the Brooklyn Museum Of Art. Now up until yesterday I hadn’t painted in years. It made me remember how therapeutic it is for me and how much I love it. I’m so grateful to my mom for suggesting this little trip, bringing a giant bag of canvas’, different paints and easels too!!⁣ ⁣ Sometimes the simplest things in life end up being the most fun. Like playing around with a bunch of different watercolors in the mountains surrounded by tall trees and green grass. Anyway, yesterday was magical and just what I needed!
