The old gear box with its electronic diffs was old technology and unreliable compared to modern equipment (like the SADEV drivelines we use in most all my racecars and Gymkhana vehicles). And we had several issues with it including the mis-shifts that led to my crash/fire at the New England Forest Rally last year. So, what you see here is @MDV_SE (the shop that built the Cossie V2) using a 3d printed version of the new SADEV transmission to mock up the transmission position within the 90’s Escort RS shell. A completely custom trans tunnel was built in the car, and SADEV also had to build a lot of other custom parts for this build. It was completely worth it!
