In honor of National Dogfighting Awareness Day, we’re sharing this story of a sweet dogfighting rescue named Atlas. Atlas was rescued as a young pup from suspected dogfighting by @ASPCA in April 2016. After being transferred to an ASPCA partner rescue, Atlas met Paula, an adopter who’d been looking for a young pit bull to join her family. Though Atlas was new to most experiences in the outside world, Paula and her husband worked with him as he adjusted to becoming a beloved pet. Now, Atlas continues to grow in his home with Paula—he even has a new baby sister he was recently introduced to!
