Fushimi(#伏見区) is an area in the southern part of #Kyoto city(#京都).

It was once the castle town of #FushimiCastle(#伏見城), which was under feudal lord Toyotomi Hideyoshi ’s rule(#豊臣秀吉).

In Fushimi, there are seven fresh springs. Because of the high-quality water, high-quality sake was made in Fushimi as well. Even today, there are many restaurants in the area that serve delicious Fushimi #sake🍶

You can find the Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum(#月桂冠大倉記念館) in Fushimi. Here, a traditional sake brewery from the Meiji Period (1868 – 1912) is preserved. There are also sake tastings available here, too.

Between March and December, special tourist boats called Jikkokubune(#十石舟) and Sanjikkokubune(#三十石船) are available. Ride on these boats and explore the traditional streets of Fushimi!🌸✨✨
