Each week this month we’ll be highlighting one of the primary components of a guitar. This week is all about bodies. Here’s how it works: 1) Raw lumber is purchased to our specifications. 2) Lumber is processed into body blanks and carefully stacked and stored in climate controlled environments. 3) After the wood is seasoned for the appropriate time, it is processed into bodies. 4) Trained operators use CNC machines to route and drill to specific model specifications. 5) They are then hand-shaped and sanded, a process that requires highly skilled expertise. 6) The bodies are then delivered to a climate-controlled and dust-free environment for painting.
