The sound of spring is finally in the air because the peepers have commenced peeping!!! They make one of my favorite sounds on the planet. A spring peeper is a small chorus frog widespread throughout the United States and Canada. They are so called because of their chirping call that marks the beginning of spring. Last year I recorded them singing in a wetland out in the country and I put them in a few songs on my latest album. To me, the frogs humming away in the background feels magical against the electronic quality of my music. I love finding ways to combine my two favorite things, music and nature.
