The first tender moments between Shahsanam and her baby boy delivered by c-section at a UNICEF-supported hospital in Kyrgyzstan 😘. This precious kiss may never have happened. Shahsanam, who lives in a small village 250 km away from the nearest city, was rushed to the hospital with severe labour complications. Without access to trained medical staff and without the timely ambulance transport to the clinic, Shahsanam’s baby might not have survived.
