In the U.S, Asian American women earn 85 cents to the man’s dollar. White women, 77 cents. Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander women, 62 cents. Black and African American women, 61 cents. Native American women, 58 cents. Latina women, 53 cents. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
At the current rate of change, it will take 100 years for gender pay to close. Your mama, sister, auntie, & brothers ALL deserve equal pay! Let's not wait 100 damn years. Btw Bc these studies conducted that aggregate data by race and salary use pan Asia as one big category, it grossly misrepresented this group. Indian women are the highest earners not all Asians. You work on a show with two black women that earn more than you. Additionally, the reason *indian* women are the highest earners is Bc they go into high paying fields, i.e. engineering, IT and medical etc. It really has little to do with race or being a woman. Indian women tho earn high salaries still face racism and discrimination. Stop with the un nuanced misinformation @thejeanniemai
