Today we celebrate #EqualPayDay, the date that symbolizes how far into the year a woman has to work in order to “catch up” to what a man earned the previous year. In recent years, it’s become customary to wear red on Equal Pay Day as a nod to women being “in the red” with their salaries. Call it a coincidence or a testament to the power of the color in general, but red was a prominent shade on the Fall 2019 runways—particularly in collections by women designers, such as @simonerocha_'s show, pictured above. So, get inspired by 21 memorable red looks at th link in our bio—then contact your elected officials and ask them to advocate for the Paycheck Fairness Act, which would require companies to be more transparent in how much they pay workers and abolish rules that keep workers from discussing or comparing their salaries.
