I wasn't old enough to be leaving my twenties. I hadn't achieved everything I expected by the age, and I didn't have my shit together. At school, we used to make pacts like: "if we're not married by the time we're 30 let's get married", and even the boy I made that pact with was engaged! 🤣 This year has probably been the best of my life. My relationship status doesn't define me, I've learnt to stand up for myself and as a result my friendships are stronger (shout out to my few remaining best guy friends who haven't gone ghost when getting into a relationship). Work is better than ever, and I have the confidence to stand up for what I want. I've learnt to spend money on experiences instead of material things, and get to travel the world with my best friend. Although do I have my shit together? Absolutely not. I'm still freaking out about the fact I don't think I want kids (does this make me a bad person)? etc 🤗 I just wanted to write this because if you're 30 or coming up to 30 then I hope you don't dread it like I did. We're still so young and we still have SO much life to live, and I really do believe if you focus on loving and knowing yourself more than worrying about what's wrong with you because some loser doesn't want you, then the rest will fall into place.
