The Beastie Boys. A large part of my teen years was spent driving around the Lakewood/Long Beach neighborhoods crouched in the back of lowered mini Nissan pick-up trucks blasting The Beasties. Memories that are seared into my brain. Now a part of my DNA not inherited from mom or dad. That kid so many years ago could never imagine he would one day be sitting in NYC with Ad-Rock,MCA and Mike D. Sadly,we lost Adam “MCA”Yauch shortly after this picture was taken ending the Beastie Boys as we knew ‘em. Looking back these years later,time having passed,beards greying, belly’s growing, i wish i could tell that kid cruising up Del Amo Blvd past Naugles Tacos to cherish those moments. That it truly was a time to get ill...
