I’m not religious and I really don’t believe in much more than just being a good person and treating people with kindness however something happened the day after Paddy passed away and I want to share it with you.

Like many households we have our inside jokes and little songs that we make up about objects and we attach it to our love ones. For many years Paddington has been obsessed with broccoli 🥦 that vegetable became his thing 😎. He had so many food allergies and I was extremely grateful that he would eat them as treats as well as in his dinner. When he was diagnosed with cancer getting him to eat healthy ( broccoli and other veggies ) with his main meals wasn’t going to be too much of a challenge but some days it was with a complete loss of appetite but he’d still try and nibble some broccoli.
On our walks of a morning a veggie truck would always drive by, me being the crazy person I am gave the truck a voice.
We would hear ‘ Eat your greens ‘ coming ( that being the unflattering name we gave the truck ) 🚛 while it past us the truck would say “ Paddingtonnnnnn eat your greensssss “ .
Sometimes Paddy would stop and bark at the truck, in my mind I always had him saying “ I have eaten my greens stupid truck”.
Anyway it would razz him up and it was just a fun thing we’d do everyday.
Completely ridiculous i know but this is us, our little family. I felt like putting my madness out there will allow you to understand our story a little more.

On the morning of 29/03/18 I got up for our walkies however our beautiful boy wasn’t coming on anymore adventures, he had waited for his mummy and daddy to get up so he could leave this world with us by his side. I don’t even know how we made it through that day.
That evening we decided to go to the beach the following day, our beach. Desperately trying to feel close to him seeings it was his favourite place ever.

Once we arrived we headed right up to our little spot, where at low tide the rocks would hug a beautiful flat area of smooth sand.
He loved it there.

The tide had only started to return out so we stood on rocks around our spot for awhile trying to understand this loss we were faced with. Part 2 in comments
