🎉👩‍⚕️Hip-hip-hooray! Our trio of North American river #otter pups received a clean bill of health during their first veterinary exam March 21.
Veterinarians checked their eyes, ears, noses and teeth, and they administered vaccines. To assess their body condition, a nutritionist gently felt their ribs and hips. Each pup receives a microchip, which helps Zoo staff identify them. 💕While they bond with mom, Ashkii, behind-the-scenes, we will continue to share their otterly delightful milestones with you. Look for the pups at the American Trail exhibit later this spring! #WeSaveSpecies
