Just remember our muscles and ligaments are loosening up and lengthening, and sometimes that aches (I’ve been complaining a lot about this so I know the pain). There are a few amazing poses that can help, but my all-time favourite that works for me is the Pigeon Pose. It’s like the powerhouse pose for us pregnant women who are looking for an all-in-one stretch. This pose loosens tension in our hips and lower back whilst strengthens our thighs, groin, psoas, abdomen, chest, shoulders and neck. At night I like to unroll my mat in front of the TV and just sit in this pose, alternating sides. Sometimes I’m super tight and other days I’m highly flexible, so always have a block to place underneath to support. Also, it’s really important we listen to our bodies, if something is too intense or causing too much pain, it’s best to modify and take it easy.
