Step 6 | Sole Stitching

As you may already know: all of our shoes are explicitly hand welted & hand lasted - giving us the possibility to achieve our refined and masculine shaped lasts with that extra support for your foot - something we are very proud of.

It is only during the sole stitching process that we use a 80 years old manual crank type MS 200 machine from #Raffenbeul for the outsole stitching process, as we think that the result is not only very similar to a hand stitched sole but also gives the shoe a nicer overall appearance.

Nevertheless we also offer a hand stitched sole upon request - like shown in the video above.

Speaking of the video above - here you can see how the running sole is attached onto the welt and the cork filling in-between both, after what the sole edges are shaped & prepared.

Finally the channel for the sole stitching is cut out and after the sole stitching, the channel is closed and we move on to the heel
