It would have been Lee McQueen’s 50th birthday today .
Happy Birthday Lee . Still love you . Still miss you, everyday. x
Lee took his own life and in so doing broke my heart along with many other peoples .
I have been very reluctant to talk about him in interviews as somethings are just too painful and are also just too private .
However male suicide in the UK is one of the biggest killers of young men so if I can write something here that would turn one person away from ending their life then I will more than happily write volumes.
Please if you are thinking about ending your life , hold on , hold on another day , try and see that life is , in the best case , a very fleeting and an incredibly precious gift.
The truth is that there no god and there is no second chance so please think again . Treasure every moment of your life whilst you have it. Realise that you never ever know what tomorrow can bring . You never know what is round the next corner. And please realise that when you are gone we who are left are devastated by losing you . You are loved . You are needed . So hold on . For us .
Don’t ever think you know the end of the story , I am 60 and believe me life is always full of ups and downs, full of surprises and full of amazing things you could never expect , ever .
So please don’t go .

And to all those who have lost someone like this , I sincerely hope my words do not upset you , nothing could be further from my intention.
I send you my love and my deeply heartfelt sympathy. I have found a way to hold on to the nice memories , the moments like the one I post here that make it feel a little less painful and I keep those alive in me .
