Blessed by the beautiful nature and clear water of the surrounding mountains, the village is covered in rice fields which are flooded during spring. When the rice is planted in late April, you can see reflections of the alps in the flooded fields. *When we first posted, we introduced the area incorrectly as Matsukawa Town, but the photograph was actually taken in Matsukawa Village.
