Stayed in the most adorable “minshuku” (a private home that accommodates visitors & provides you with 3 meals a day!), run by the sweetest old couple. It was such a culturally enriching experience sleeping on futons, eating home style local Japanese food & chatting with the hosts. The hostess even gave me her recipe for a local dessert I loved. ?
