Had a Good morning w this beautiful man @pkcbarclay educating us ALL Abt lack of @lgbtq #lgbtq protection under our federal laws. #america is ready to change this by passing #equality act. I am dumbfounded that the #lgbtq community is still so blatantly discriminated against- in mortgages, business, realestate, military recognition, services, inclusion, marriage, and jobs. I EMBRACE a world where ALL OF OUR CHILDREN HAVE THE SAME EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES- whether gay or straight. #lgbtq?

Having my mother spray Lysol over me back in 1993 was a dreadful turning point, one I simply cannot brush out of my system no matter how many candles I light, or self-help books I inhale. Some pain just sort of hangs there. I move on as best I can....

redracepony Lack of protection very important & passing & enforcing laws can fix that. But ignorance & attitudes unfortunately linger far longer than I would have believed. 40 years later & I still am amazed to realize that behavior & thought not much improved. So very sad, hurtful, dangerous.

lisapevc As one who bears the brunt of such descrimination, thank you @mgh_8 @williamallenyoung for fighting...more realistically, good luck. Sadly, none of those labels fit me but the descrimination is no less destructive. You are angels!
